THE STYLE

"Originally from Japan, Omakase is a style of dining where guests leave themselves in the hands of a chef and receive a meal which is seasonal, elegant, artistic and uses the finest ingredients available. The meal can be likened to an artistic performance."

THE FOOD

Chef Peter Viding's Omakase dining experience is composed of 12 dishes that take the best local ingredients and traditions from Småland which are paired with fantastic wines and drinks from around the world.

 

THE VENUE

At Hotel Slottsvillan the chef will share the lead role with the historic building. Guests will not only travel back in time but also throughout the building experiencing different tastes that are tailored to the ever changing environment throughout the dinner.

PETTER VIDING

Petter is an award winning chef who launched the first fine dining restaurant in Jönköping called Småländska Kolonin. 

​

After his time in Jönköping he went to Stockholm where he was the creative chef at Hotel Diplomat, launched Hornhuset with 40 chefs under him, Escalier in Sturegallerian and most recently took over the kitchen at Mr. French. 

​

Now Petter has launched his own concept Omakase. "It is much more than a degustation dinner, it is an immursive experience." which has now made its way back to where his career started.

​

Petter has taken Småländska kitchen to the next level once again and with Hotel Slottsvillan as his stage the experience is once in a lifetime. 

HOTEL SLOTTSVILLAN

Originally built in 1895 as the private residence for the directors of the Husqvarna Factory, Slottsvillan has a long history of fantastic dinners hosted for Swedish royalty, prime ministers, industry barons and Swedish aristocracy.

 For Omakase each guest will receive their own room in the villa. This way one can truly relax and immerse themselves in the dinner and the bulding. 

​

The day after, guests will wake up to a classic hotel breakfast where they can share stories of the previous evening with each other, or find their own space to reflect upon what they have experienced.
